Gender Equality Campus
The campus advocates gender equality education to build an environment in which both sexes may enjoy personal basic human rights and learn and grow free from discrimination and restrictions posed by traditional gender roles, so that each person may exercise his/her potential to achieve sufficient personal development and establish a harmonious and respectful relationship between both sexes. To implement gender equality education, CYCU promotes gender equality education in accordance with the government’s gender equality laws and regulations, and also establishes the CYCU Regulations Governing Establishment of Gender Equality Education Committee, Gender Equality Education Implementation Regulations, Regulations Governing Rewards for Promotion of Gender Equality Education, and Implementation Directions for Prevention and Resolutions of Sexual Assault, Sexual Harassment, and Sexual Bullying on Campus.
I. Gender Equality Meeting
CYCU will convene gender equality education meetings at least once per semester. From 2019 to 2021, CYCU convened 10 gender equality education meetings to resolve 15 campus gender incidents.
II. Campus Ground Safety Inspection Presentation
According to the Regulations on the Prevention and Handling of Sexual Assault, Sexual Harassment, or Sexual Bullying on Campus, CYCU shall convene campus ground safety inspection presentations periodically, and invite professional space designers, faculty and students, and other campus users to attend the meeting.
