Healthy Campus
Physical, mental, and spiritual health is the basis for learning and an important cornerstone in life. CYCU is very concerned about whether students may grow up in a healthy education environment and has constructed healthy campus based on three major design concepts, “comfort”, “natural harmony and health”, and “environmental protection”.

Green Office and Waste Management
Green Office
The green office aims to realize energy conservation and emissions reduction at the office premises. The first step is to create a green office to practice building energy conservation and ecological environmental protection from construction materials, office design, and office procurement. The second step is to train employees’ routine green office to teach them to conserve water and power voluntarily. By means of the green office, CYCU trains the administrative staff to cultivate their green habits in the following manners:
(a) Turn off power equipment without affecting job duties
(b) Use eco-friendly cups
(c) Promote a digital office and paperless work
(d) Control the air conditioning temperature
(e) Practice recycling and waste management
Practice waste management
The Office of General Affairs is responsible for contracting the general waste to others for treatment. Among CYCU’s hazardous waste, toxic waste is divided into two categories, namely medical waste, and laboratory waste. Qualified service providers are contracted to dispose of it periodically.

Indoor Environmental Quality
The Environmental Safety Center will contract a testing company recognized by the Environmental Protection Administration to test the indoor air quality in the library every two years and add air ducts to introduce outside air once every two years. The library was awarded the “Fair” label for indoor air quality by the Department of Environmental Protection.

Our school library has been awarded the "Good Grade" indoor air quality label by the Environmental Protection Bureau. The label is valid for 2 years (starting from the date of the scheduled inspection report) and ends on September 2, 2013.
Green Building Materials Application and Green Building
Insofar as the green building labeled materials available to CYCU’s engineering projects are affordable economically, and such materials shall be adopted in priority. Meanwhile, CYCU protects the green environment and adopts the overall design of the building’s physical environment, including sound, light, heat, gas, water, and other issues, to improve structure and equipment performance. Recently, about 63,000 (cai) green glass has been replaced or installed in certain buildings, in whole or in part. The energy conservation effect appears to be remarkable.
(ii) 2020 Green Building Diamond Label
CYCU’s Innovation Pilot Center for Theory in Practice refers to a base identifying the “green avenue” as a key topic, combining with the “Chung Yuan Ecological Park Plan” on the opposite side, to maintain the overall urban ecological stability. The Center was awarded the 2020 “Green Buildings” Diamond Label by the Ministry of the Interior, to realize CYCU’s education and social responsibility.
