International Exchanges

Participation in International Organizations

    To encourage teachers and students to participate in international academic activities actively, CYCU plans to start from sister schools and international strategic alliances to encourage teachers’ continuing education abroad for a short-term, students’ study abroad, international exchange, and cross-border dual degree programs, for the international and global development of academic research and education. CYCU adopts the following practices to participate in international organizations:
a. Join a regional higher education alliance.
b. Work with the European Union and UNESCO.
c. Participate in NAFSA to expand sister schools and develop opportunities for
cooperation.

 

The practical results include:
(I)    Join a regional higher education alliance AUAP, and link with the site of UNESCO.

(II)   CYCU was nominated to serve as a member of the ACUCA as of 2022.

Exchange with Sister Schools

    To strengthen the international mobility of CYCU’s teachers and students, CYCU uses its best effort to expand the domain of sister schools across 34 territories including Europe, the United States, and Asia. In recent years, CYCU has started to work with elite international universities, such as the University of Tokyo, Nanyang Technological University, Nanjing University, and the University of Southern California. CYCU hopes to exercise its fine-quality higher education resources and global influence to facilitate the equality and common prosperity among various territories via channels including admission of students, cultivation of teachers, and service-learning. CYCU has 394 sister schools for the time being. Please see the following chart. In recent years, CYCU has had cooperated in the organization of global sister school expositions, seminar and forum series, cooperation with international camps, cross-domain keynote discussions, and implementation to increase the opportunities for interaction between both parties.

Students’ Study Abroad
    To deepen and provide diversified learning opportunities to learn abroad.
(I)    Work with elite schools in Europe and the USA in title-sponsored dual degree programs.
(II)   Interdisciplinary credit programs for international elites.
(III)  Train an international Goodwill ambassador.
(IV) Build a multilingual culture exchange base.
(V)  Organize an international and campus activities series.
(VI) Recruit strong international strong.

Foreign Students’ Learning:

    To build an international campus and expand international exchange opportunities for students, CYCU expands the international student enrollment sites under the existing internationalized basis, and aims at four major targets, “create a new attraction in the southeast, create a new force in the east, launch into South Asia to seek potential talents, and build CYCU’s international power”, to carry out its enrollment of international students. Active Practices Include:
I.    Enrollment of masters/doctoral program students.

II.   Overseas Chinese students at the undergraduate school.

III.  Mainland Chinese students and visiting students.

IV.  Strengthen foreign students’ tutoring counseling mechanism and activity planning.
