Business Incubation
CYCU’s Industry Accelerator and Incubation Center builds a site integrating entrepreneurial resources, constructs a market docking and exchange mechanism, activates the innovation and entrepreneurship trend in Taoyuan, and constructs innovative and entrepreneurship counseling services through industrial integrated services, such as sustainable development and green economy to help the spinoffs with “global layout and sustainable development”.
CYCU strengthens the school’s research capacity through recruitment of talents in characteristic fields and research incentives. In recent years, it has actively promoted functions such as characteristic industry counseling networks, diversified marketing platforms, and international incubation and accelerated incubation of emerging industries.
Starting from the enlightenment of three innovations, CYCU’s entrepreneurial ability training mechanism is as shown in the following chart. Meanwhile, the social enterprise team is trained primarily in line with the SDGs of the United Nations.
Entrepreneurial Ability Training Mechanism
CYCU integrates resources from the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Science and Technology, and local governments to establish business incubation counseling eco-system resources.
Incubation Characteristics Counseling Resources
The Innovative and Entrepreneurship Center practices the philosophy of “Development of Ability, the Industrial Chain, Integration of Resources, and Innovation and Improvement”, and develops the two sustainability indicators of SDGs, i.e., “Sustainable Development Goal 8 - Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment, and decent work for all” and “Sustainable Development Goal 9 - Build resilient infrastructure, promote sustainable industrialization, and foster innovation”.
Entrepreneurial Dreamer CEO Plan Annual Execution Planning
In response to the global trend, the CYCU Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center will organize the “Innovation and Entrepreneurship International Leaders Experience Camp” from July to August each year, primarily based on the SDGs of the United Nations and combining innovation and entrepreneurship thoughts to solve problems all over the world.
This activity aims to train each trainee’s innovation and entrepreneurship ability, and to present stimulated entrepreneurship competition results on the Demo Day on the last day. Each group’s trainees are expected to create feasible entrepreneurship plans and exercise their potential and execution ability to make it possible that each group may participate in international entrepreneurship plans, continue the development projects, and ultimately exercise their influence over society.
When promoting the USR programs, CYCU, to enable teachers and students to better understand and care about the needs of social, environmental, and economic development, values the connection of both SDGs and USR in the process of practicing social innovation and solving social problems, in an attempt to combine the promotion of USR with the common targets in the world, and then develop CYCU’s “USR sustainability indicator” to connect with the world and strive for sustainable development.
CYCU specializes in the research of science and engineering application fields, develops membrane technology, mold forming, composite materials, smart manufacturing, and other characteristic fields, constructs the research results application development mechanism, and assists in launching customized counseling from laboratories to markets and commercial and intellectual property development planning to practice technology into commercialization.

Innovation Competition
The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center of the Executive Operation Office for Industry-Academia Cooperation roots the creativity and innovation education deeply, and integrates entrepreneurship courses, entrepreneurship competitions, entrepreneurship mentors, international resource links, and venture capital into a complete competition process to brainstorm the sparks of innovative value and creativity, and transform creative ideas into creative products.

CYCU’s Innovation Competition is primarily targeted at college students to provide students’ entrepreneurship teams from colleges/universities throughout the nation with a competition platform where they can exchange with each other. The important results include:
(a) Provide a competition platform for students’ entrepreneurial teams from colleges/universities throughout the nation that propose contents containing the core SDGs.
(b) Cultivate an entrepreneurial ecosystem based on the complete series of “new innovation seeds” and strengthen the realization of the core SDGs.
(c) Link cross-units’ entrepreneurial resources, strengthen the core SDGs, and drive the venture capital trend.

The technology team from the Department of Electrical Engineering of CYCU assists manufacturers in planning the distribution of power consumption time, reduce power consumption and electricity bills, and effectively manage and maintain power consumption for production and operations to reduce the product cost and improve the competitiveness of product price.
