Governance Mechanism Operation

University Affairs Development Plan and Vision

    In response to the 2050 Net Zero Policy announced by the government, CYCU declares its commitment to sustainable development and proposes the sustainable university affairs management policy planning and action and promotes the “CYCU Vision 70 University Affairs Development Plan” to direct its entire development orientation through a 5-year long-term university affairs development vision, general objectives, and general strategy.

Formation of Governance Mechanism

    The University Affairs Committee Meeting refers to CYCU’s ultimate university affairs resolution mechanism aimed at deciding the university affairs development objectives through enactment of regulations and discussion about plans and strategies. Facilitate the successful university affairs development and policy implementation.

Governance Mechanism Operation

Motions to be reviewed at the University Affairs Committee Meeting include:
(I)    University affairs development plan and budget;
(II)   Articles of Association and various important charters;
(III)  Establishment, change and termination of any college, department,

        institute, degree program and affiliated unit;
(IV)  Important motions regarding academic affairs, student affairs, general

        affairs, and R&D;
(V)   Research and resolution regarding teaching evaluation regulations;
(VI)  Motions resolved by the committees established by the Council;
(VII) Seven major university development motions proposed to the Meeting

       and by the President.

Committees

    In addition to the University Affairs Committee, CYCU also establishes its governance committees related to the university affairs management, faculty’s interests and rights, and students’ interests and rights.

Feedback From Interacting Related Parties

    According to the university affairs governance mechanism dedicated to practicing evidence-based policies as emphasized by the Taiwan Association for Institutional Research (AIR), CYCU’s supervisors, faculty, and students will act as important university affairs policy makers and fulfill social responsibility as social citizens.

I.    Alumni Career Development Survey
      In response to the Alumni Career Development Surveys for the 1st, 3rd, and 5th years as promoted by the Ministry of Education, the Alumni Career Development Survey Report is applied to promote CYCU’s university affairs including teaching courses, etc.

II.   Long-Term Alumni Career Development Survey Mechanism
      Conduct the survey on alumni feedback to have an alumni database in place and collect

questionnaires regarding related learning results and continue to update the alumni database periodically to improve the database. 

III.  Employer Satisfaction Questionnaire Survey
      To verify alumni career performance and demand for talents in the industry to understand each sector’s evaluation and satisfaction of CYCU alumni career performance from many aspects.

IV.  Students’ Campus Life Survey
      
To understand students’ adaptation to campus learning and life, promotion of the questionnaire survey may help CYCU better understand problems in students’ learning and life and improve overall campus planning.

Note: The campus learning questionnaire has been implemented since academic year 2020. Notwithstanding, it still has not been implemented in the school year of 2021.

University Affairs Research

    Upon completion of the feedback survey, the Office of Research and Development, Office of Academic Affairs and Office, of Career Development of CYCU issue the following accountability report:
I.   CYCU Annual Accountability Report: Achieve self-accountability and supervision and

     disclose the school management information periodically.
II.  CYCU Students’ Learning Result Report: Consisting of seven major aspects, including the

     source of students, curriculum planning, learning status, learning promotion, learning

     warnings and counseling, teaching evaluations, and feedback from interacting related

     parties.
III. CYCU Alumni Accountability Report: To verify the CYCU alumni career development

     status.
